One of the more annoying things about where i work is that I have more technical knowledge of computers and office equipment than most of the other staff, and the way things are going. Unfortuately at times this can produce acute frustration as people are lazy and don’t even check the obvious. Some of the situations are:

Computer

– Question: I can’t remember my password – who do you call to get it fixed
Answer: How about the helpdesk – their number is the one saying “helpdesk” on the log in screen

Printer

Question: No matter what i do when i print, it always comes out on letterhead paper and won’t print from the plain paper tray
Answer: Well thats because if you looked then you would find there is no plain paper in the tray

Question: The printer won’t print
Answer: Thats because as the screen says, there is a paper jam. If you fix the jam then it will fix.

Question: I can’t get the printer to print on green paper
Answer: Put some green paper in the printer and try again

Photocopier

Question: The photocopier won’t work, it says its jammed and i don’t know how to fix it
Answer: Well the next line of writing below the line saying paper jam says guide to fixing problem. Why not read that ?

And so the list goes on, people are too lazy to actually think and instead just think other people will fix it for them. Shitheads. No wonder i am bitter and twisted
