I’ve been pondering something Pam told me some time ago that has just stuck in my mind about one of her friends. They live up in the bush away from public transport and at age 37 rely on their parents to drive them around (including their shift work job). I’d be lost without my car and my license whther it be to go on a long drive or just down to the shop. And i live relatively close to shops and bus routes so in the bush, i just wouldn’t last.

The other thing that struck me as strange was the fact that she had never had a boyfriend or been on a date. This in particular suprised me as even if your not good at meeting people, in the days of internet dating and the like its always possible to get to go on first dates. If your lucky then you get to go on second dates. And so on.
