I just watched an enjoyable DVD by the name of the Guardian which tells the story of a aging Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer who after an accident that saw the rest of his crew die, is transfered to instructing at the rescue school facility. There he turns the curriculm on end with his desire to teach his students as well as possible what they are going to face and how to deal with it.

At thew school he also meets a student full of potential but strangely lacking the ability to work as part of the team. Gradually they are drawn together through shared experiences and a desire to help others.

I will avoid dropping any spoilers in but its worth a look for sure!
