Take it i shall

Today is my rostered day off although I feel less than comfortable taking it due to the amount of work I have but my boss did insist that i take it so take it i shall. No real plans although I think I might try and take an autumn related photo in some form which I think might be a wander around the botanical gardens although it does look kind of gloomy.

Tomorrow I do actually have a plan! Not much of a plan but a plan never the less. In my never ending pursuit of material for my del.icio.us tag this | permalink | trackback url | comments(0)

Exposure to son

When it comes to Churches, i don’t usually think of humor as a part of their role so it made this photo all the more interesting. Witty eh!

Deserted

I like this shot. Its of Salamanca place in Hobart which is normally a busy place to visit but when i took this shot, hardly a person to be seen anywhere. Makes a nice contrast!

Drought Bites hard

Prompted by an article in the local paper reporting that the catchment level had reached 10% of capacity, i visited the Craig Borne Dam in the Coal River Valley north East of Hobart. What i saw was pretty drastic with a huge shoreline where the water usually was and a boat ramp high and dry. This is the water supply that supplies most of the water for the Coal River Valley irrigation scheme so if it keeps dropping then things could get grim indeed in the on going drought!

Pictured here is the main spillway a long way from being needed!

Lucky Chance

This shot proved to be quite a popular one and i quite like it. It was just pure chance that i was in the position to be able to take the shot having left work early to pick up my vehicle from being serviced and had the opportunity to take the photo.

Kinda Cool

My photo for the daily photoblogs entry theme “Numbers” worked out well don’t you think. I liked the focus more than anything and the fact that it looks like the post boxes just go on forever

Anzac Day

It was Anzac day today where we stop and remember those that served and fell in conflicts. I always attend the dawn service where i took this photo as it has far more meaning as the first Anzacs were landing at Gallipoli at dawn all those years ago

Nothing like it

I had something that is best described as a busy day i had today. I spent a fair proportion of the time behind the wheel driving up the east coast as far as Bicheno. It was a pleasant enough day for a drive with the sun shining and the water looking the crystal clear blue that it does up the east coast. Its that kind of special that makes the place so lovely i guess.

I don’t know what it is but the colours just seem more defined like this Blues and Browns that i took.

Pay Day Loan

You know, sometimes no matter how hard you try, you just aren’t going to make the money stretch as far as pay day and doesn’t that suck! Luckily you can get a Pay Day Loan which gives you the money that you need and you get to pay it back on pay day.

Now believe it or not, despite the fact that it is a loan that you need some places make it hard to get a loan without jumping through hoops but luckily having just been looking at www.paydayloansmania.com there is an alternative that provides No Fax Payday Loan that is just so mch easier to get the money you need and get on with things!

End of the Post Drought

I hate to say it but after so long without an update this blog looks similar to this ….

I love this picture Ruins and some others i took recently in the drought stricken area around Jericho (Tasmania) which instead of being a green belt is instead a dust belt. It is heartbreaking to see and doesn’t look like it is going to end any time soon.

But good news, the drought has broken here at the blog and more posts will be forthcoming soon!
